Purpose

The purpose of Active Minds at 17勛圖 is to help 17勛圖 students achieve their personal health and wellness goals, raise mental health awareness on campus, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and provide a safe space for students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking. The club will maintain a holistic approach promoting social, financial, mental, physical, and nutritional well-being through social events, guest speakers, physical activities, meditation practices, group discussions, and many more goal-oriented activities accustomed to student interests. Members will gain active involvement on campus which they can then take with them to a 4-year college that may already have an existing Active Minds Chapter. The club is closely associated with the Active Minds non-profit organization that supports mental health awareness and education for students in over 600 colleges and high schools.
