In addition, Maria Rodriguez, Program Coordinator for the Outreach Department–College of Marin, will share her college journey as an undocumented student.

Fund the Future Presents Exploring Guatemala through Social Impact Work

17³Ô¹Ï's Fund the Future Club will share stories about travels and work in Guatemala through our Study Abroad program.
Listen to a panel of 17³Ô¹Ï students that traveled to Guatemala last summer to learn about global poverty and immerse themselves in a new culture.
Several 17³Ô¹Ï students will share their experience from last summer's trip to Guatemala. The students worked on building a school for a Mayan village, learned about Microcredit firsthand, and immersed themselves in a wide range of cultural activities. Ask them questions to see if such a trip is something you might be interested in next summer!

Artist Talk with Tomas Ayuso

Please join Honduran writer and photojournalist Tomas Ayuso, who will talk about his work that focuses on Latin American conflict as it relates to the drug war, forced displacement and urban dispossession. Through his work, Ayuso’s aim is to connect and include marginalized communities in the overarching narrative and history of the Western Hemisphere.
