Assessment for Placement
Assessment for Placement
17³Ô¹Ï's placement process now reflects AB 1705 and our diverse student community. Placement for math, English, ESLL, or chemistry uses multiple measures to assess which course placement is appropriate for you - using your U.S. high school transcript and/or a guided self-placement for students who do not have a U.S. transcript available.
- If you provided your U.S. high school transcript information when applying, your placement is already posted in MyPortal.
- If you did not provide your U.S. high school transcript information or did not attend high school, please email [email protected] to complete guided self-placement.
With the implementation of AB 1705, students are eligible to enroll directly in transfer-level English, credit level ESLL, and math courses.
